I have an Asus AC5300 wireless router that is used 24/7 for about 40 different devices in my house (namely my teenagers). I recently noticed that the router gets very hot. I checked the router's GUI and actually found that my router's CPU temp is 73 degrees C. I ordered this fan and was very impressed with its packaging, build quality, dual ball bearing design, very quiet operation and the perfect size to sit on top of my router. Within minutes of setting it up on my router (powered by the USB port on the back of the router), I checked the GUI again and noticed a drastic drop in temperature from 25ยฐC to 48ยฐC (fan on medium speed). Heat is the death of electronics, and this fan is the death of heat. I guess I just breathed some life into my router. I will update this review if I run into any issues over time as I will be using this fan 24/7 from now on.
