I needed to flare the end of a pipe and this tool was the only way to do it other than a $2000+ machine. A great way to make extended pieces of pipe so you can slide it over another piece to make a connection. I have the more common type of extension tool and the KD product works much better. You'll need a sledgehammer and some elbow grease, but this tool will get the job done very well. It also helps to have a vise designed to help the pipe. This works best if you work slowly with a good hammer blow and then remove and rotate the tool. This takes time, but produces perfect flares.
