Review on πŸ’» Asus Prime X299-A II ATX Motherboard (Intel X299) LGA 2066, 12 IR3555 Power Stages, DDR4 4266 MHz, Triple M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, Intel LAN with Aura Sync RGB Lighting by Ameen Bethea

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Using on i9 10900x with 20 cores - works great but don't need to enable M.2 yet. with 2 x 1TB WD drives

Used on 10900x i9 with 20 cores - works great, tested overclocked, with 2 x 32GB Crosair RAM in one slot per side (6 more free). Thermaltake liquid cooler with 3 fans, PSU with TT 850 RGB fan on request, Asus graphics card 3 fans Super 6GB with fan on request (fan only works when both graphics card and PSU are hot) - RGB synced with TT controller and I have to buy both Both 3-pin and 4-pin RGB connectors for Asus software to sync between all devices (except RAM from 32*2 Crosair - I'm crazy not to buy anything else). should even include m.2. Drives do not support black WD 1TB drives by default as written in BIOS. I wanted to setup RAID 1 with two 1TB WD drives. both do not work as hard raids / also hard drives are not readable.

Pros
  • Intel x299 LGA 2066 socket: Ready for the latest Intel Core X-series processors to maximize connectivity and speed with three M.2 drives, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Intel VROC and Intel Optane memory compatibility
Cons
  • No insurance
