Review on 🥤 Oster Blender Pro 1200 - Glass Jar, 24-Ounce Smoothie Cup - Brushed Nickel by Minas Chase

I like this product, but it has its drawbacks. I've had this product for almost a year and here are my thoughts. It does a great job of crushing ice and making smoothies, milkshakes are great, and the chop/salsa button helps get food ready quickly. I had two major issues with the Oster blender and one complaint. Easter support did a good job so no complaints. Problem #1: The blender jar has started to leak at the seam in the plastic on top of the jar (this seam doesn't clean very well). It only leaked when blended, so I ended up with a smoothie on the base of the blender a few times before realizing I'd assembled the blade, gasket, and lid correctly and it was a mug leak. Oster sent me a new shaker for free! Problem #2: The screw on the base with the gasket and blade for the blender bowl and smoothie bowl is stuck in the smoothie bowl. I've tried everything to separate them. husband tried. I looked for ideas and tried them all. I called Easter support and tried their ideas. Nothing worked. I called Auster back and they replaced everything with a brand new one. So the customer service is good. Now to the complaint. The rubber seal or gasket has been adjusted. I am unhappy that the company continues to sell a product that has not been discontinued and no longer offers parts critical to product performance. Update January 31, 2019: The blender motor is still great. The device makes excellent smoothies and cocktails. I have a problem with the base, blade and spacer. Now it sticks to the glass jar of the blender. I can't take it off and neither can my husband. We tried a few tricks. I have another idea - a key for filters. If that doesn't help, I'll look for a new blender. I would worry about the gasket and blade not being clean.
