These look pretty in a box and give you the confidence that you have all your bases covered,no matter the job. The set was purchased mainly due to its supposed versatility, mix of clamp pliers for all scenarios and customer feedback. We put it to test on a a 2.0T FSI engine in the middle of a vehicle overhaul.The tools did ok with the clamps that were unobstructed and had a clear access path. However separating clamps at the back of the engine where you don;t have a clear line of sight is where we encountered most of the issues.The main one was that despite selecting and locking the plier, the teeth on the locking gear are at too wide an angle where the plier was fully pressed and locked but the clamp wasn't free to move. Yes, you could rotate it on the same location but couldn't slip it back. Incredibly hard on curved coolant hoses. Tried different pliers, same result. Very frustrating. Finally gave up and got a well reviewed brand from a local big box store and the clamp was off in a jiffy.The worst part was that the cable on the spring clamp broke after we were struggling to set it up on a clamp closer to the firewall. What a bummer.If you are dealing with clamps in obvious places with a clean line of sight and enough access space, these will most likely work but good luck dealing in tight spaces and hidden clamps.These look good sitting in a box and probably ok for occasional use but I would not depend on these for critical jobs. Quality is suspect
