Review on 🚴 Maximize Performance with the Halo Headband Cycling Sweatband Cap by Joel Miranda

This halo bike cap works great IF you can get a good fit between your forehead and the rubber portion of the headband AND your head isn't tilted all the way forward the sweat drips over the pad into the eyes or onto the sunglasses. It is possible for me to hold the seal only with a lowered bill. I like to lift the beak for a better field of view when I'm on drops, descending or just want some style points ;) When I lift the beak it rips the gasket off my temples, breaking the seal and lets the sweat drip properly. in my eye sockets, that sucks. Also, if you tilt your head too far, such as when descending a difficult incline in low gear, sweat can get onto the padding of your glasses or into your eyes, even with your beak down. This happens to me more often when I'm walking with a Halo hat, climbing steep sections of trail and being careful of unsteady footing. Another downside to this particular Halo product is where the bill is attached to the headband. This is about half an inch above the bottom of the headband. This means you need to compress or flip up the headband around your ears to give the visor enough room to lift without pulling the helmet over your head. I like the padded design of the headband, but if it's the center forehead count or fabric folds under helmet straps and sunglasses, then no thanks. So, in summary, if you have your countdown and your head up most of the time, it works. A note about myself and my experience with Halo products in general: FYI, I'm the heaviest sweater I've ever seen, I shake off sweat in disgusting amounts, and as long as I have good pressure and my head in the right orientation keep in mind, I don't get sweat in my eyes with any Halo headband (I use their running/hiking hats, velcro headbands and bike caps). The entire fabric portion of the headband/hat/visor gets 100% soaked and I can still work out in running shoes or hike for hours in the summer without my eyes sweating as long as I can keep the tightness. People say it only works for about 15 minutes, chances are it was never properly sealed. It may not work for all head shapes.
