I decided to try a borax to wash my towels to get rid of the leftover fabric softener which is making the towels stiff. And it works great! The first time I used borax was when I was washing baby cloth diapers. I read somewhere (I can't remember where - it was over 40 years ago 😉) to soak and wash diapers with borax and laundry soap. I had white fluffy diapers in town! Borax does this for towels as well. I dry them with tennis balls to loosen them up. I enjoy using borax on every wash of towels that don't look like hotel towels, rough towels!
