Powered by Garmin DriveTrack GET GPS and TRAFFIC DATA!

Works with my Garmin DriveTrack, including getting traffic data! My problem is that I need to power two or three USB devices in the car and my Garmin GPS can't use the cigarette lighter plug just for myself. However, receiving Garmin traffic data appears to require the use of the car cigarette lighter adapter (TA-10 or TA-20) as it "includes a traffic antenna". After using one of those monstrous power strips for a while, it was time to find a small, compact solution that wouldn't get in the way of my car's shifter. After many tests, I found that the APPHOME block works. quite well with my Garmin Drive Track device. INCLUDING RECEIVING MOVEMENT DATA. However, it should be noted that Garmin makes a large number of GPS devices that use many different traffic signals. Therefore, my positive experience may not apply to your device. Track: 1) When I connect my Garmin to a regular cell phone USB charger (usually with a 5-wire data cable), the device displays a warning banner that traffic cannot be received without the correct cable, which means a Garmin car device . (TA-10 or TA-20) no signal (warning banner is displayed) when I try to operate the GPS on the internal battery with no power supply connected. 4) After operating Garmin with a TA-10 or TA-20 charger AND receiving traffic, the device can be unplugged from Garmin power and will continue to receive traffic data even with nothing plugged into the USB GPS outlet is. Thus, the cable test is only carried out at the start and before the reception of a traffic light signal. deliver. This is the same as the APPHOME device. I saw no signs of antenna or antenna loading. 6) Looking at the power signal quality (amount of high frequency EMI at 5VDC) of the Garmin and APPHOME devices, I don't see any noticeable difference. Both are very clean. 7) Since my GPS doesn't have a signal strength indicator, I can't tell if the signal strength is the same between two power supplies. However, I'm in a remote coverage area and haven't noticed any difference between the power adapters. Conclusion: APPHOME works great with my Garmin device and gets complete traffic data. everything i wanted I have already used the APPHOME device on a long trip and am very satisfied. Small, compact and powers my Garmin GPS as well as my cell phones etc. Highly recommended!
