Assembly was SUPER easy! It took me about a minute to pull myself together. It took longer to open the box and remove the plastic wrap that was wrapped around the parts than it did to put them together. My son LOVES this! I would highly recommend this bike for beginners. My son regained his balance fairly quickly. I love that it has two rear wheels to give it a bit more balance (it CAN stand on its own if you stand correctly) but it also teaches them to be careful and balance while riding or they might tip over . Much easier than having them learn to steer and pedal THEN balance later, balance for my son was instant, he sat up and started driving straight away! I was amazed at how quickly he did it!
