Works, confusing remote, some quirks

We have another similar projector and if I could combine them they would be perfect. Unfortunately not, which is why I have two fancy projectors. GOOD: - Quiet. I don't use speakers (we have Alexa in the kids room) but the noise from the motor spinning the light is minimal and there is no noise or hum from the speakers when not in use. RF remote control, not IR. That means it doesn't look like your TV remote and doesn't need line of sight to talk to the projector. As long as you're in the same room, everything usually works just fine. No need to wave it over your head for the projector to hear it - stable performance. I didn't notice any quirks (our other one dims and flickers at times) - Several different auto-off timers - Remote comes with battery AND spare battery as well, and the range is noticeably smaller - the green laser stars don't come and go. They are on or off BAD - The remote control is confusing. Instead of switching between modes with a single button or having one function per button, there are 4 buttons each with 2 or 3 modes, each mode being a combination of functions (moving lights, planet display, green laser stars, etc.).d ) -There is no separate button to adjust the effects. Should the light pulse or be constant? Do you want laser stars to fade in and out? Should the planet be on or off? Well, start pushing buttons until you find a pre-programmed combination that basically has what you need. Why don't you give me a separate button for laser stars, lights, and the projected planet? - When connected to the network, the light is always on. I'm pretty sure it's just the power LED on the internal control board, but the light is easy to see even in normal lighting. That's a bit annoying. My latest projector shot shows this light. SUMMARY This is a decent projector that works well and gets the job done. The fact that the remote doesn't require line of sight to the device is fantastic, but the overall layout of the remote is a confusing mess. Multiple shutdown timers are a nice feature, but the lack of independent control over other features (and having to rely on preset combinations) is a headache.
