Review on Serfas Drifter Tire FPS 2 0 Inch by Steve Washington

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best update I've made

After 2300 miles on original Maxxis Ikon tires (included with the Scott 760) they needed to be replaced. There's sand EVERYWHERE in Florida, but I mostly ride sidewalks and fire roads, so a knobby tread was (I thought) in order. UNTIL I found these Surfas Drifters! These babies are light and mobile. lost a few pounds off the bike. The inverted tread eliminated annoying road rumble from the knobs and increased track speed by 4-5 mph (due to low rolling resistance). I had to work with them from the start. They were just installed so I can't confirm their durability but my first impression is that they are strong enough to tackle road debris and thick enough to handle sand. I went with the 27.5 x 2.0 and I'm glad I kept the "mountain bike" line. Overall, I'm VERY impressed and will keep you posted as I rack up miles!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
