Great tire for sport

I bought this tire for local paved trails around my house. I needed something that was decent on wet roads, could negotiate the curb while maintaining a low speed. I'm very happy with them, they were great. I'm not sure what people say they're good on gravel because for me they turn on anything unpaved. I rolled on them, but they work tubeless too! On my tubeless rims I used some Gorilla tape, Stan's Caulk and they popped out after a bit of work. I've had it for a few months now and have…

So far, so good. suitable for cycling

I received and fitted these tires today for my GT MTB with 27.5x2.10 tires. My biggest concern was that they would look silly for being 2.00, but once they were on they looked like they belonged. Since I'm not sure if my rims are tubeless ready, I've been using tubes for the moment and bled them to 65psi. Took my bike for a quick test ride and was very impressed with the dramatic change in rolling resistance, handling and sound. I can't wait to see how these tires perform on my long rides on…

Well rated update.!

relatively new to cycling (approx. 2 years). I've worn out my 29er Schwalbe Rapid Robs quite a bit. I've come to the conclusion that the girth and knobby profile of a trail mountain bike hardtail is not suited to commuter bike enthusiasts. My first purchase attempt was for MAXXIS HOOKWORM, but the delivery time was too long for my immediate needs. So I happened upon these "SERFAS" hybrid tires with an inverted profile. They are lighter than HOOKWORMS, cost $1,000 less, have visual impact, and…

Best update I've made

After 2300 miles on original Maxxis Ikon tires (included with the Scott 760) they needed to be replaced. There's sand EVERYWHERE in Florida, but I mostly ride sidewalks and fire roads, so a knobby tread was (I thought) in order. UNTIL I found these Surfas Drifters! These babies are light and mobile. lost a few pounds off the bike. The inverted tread eliminated annoying road rumble from the knobs and increased track speed by 4-5 mph (due to low rolling resistance). I had to work with them from…

Vagrant is great, beware of two versions

My daily commuter has been using them for years. they hold up very well. my current daily 30 km round trip is a combination of concrete bike path, hammer road and city streets. I didn't know there were two versions of this tire. I usually buy them through my local bike shop and they seem to only stock the Survivor series version. The one I got through Amazon was the DRIFTER CITY CTR version, which has two layers of protection against three survivors. The tread of the new tire I got also doesn't

Pros

Exactly what I was looking for.

First I have to explain what I was looking for when I bought these tires. I have a road bike, a commuter bike that I built myself, and a mountain bike that hasn't been used much lately. I had the idea of converting my mountain bike into a "big kid's bike" that would take me back to the days of riding around the neighborhood, taking shortcuts through the grass, and jumping curbs. These tires are perfect for this purpose. I am no longer tied to one type of driving and can drive around as I…

  • Ease of use

  • Ugly packaging

Fantastic hybrid tire for your MTB!

I have a 2017 Specialized Rockhopper and a 2017 Trek FX-3. Trek is for tarmac only, while Spec. was bought for hard field and gravel roads. The Rockhopper came with 29 x 2.1 Ground Control knobs. I recently decided to ride my MTB on paved paths from time to time (for a change). The Ground Control tires roll pretty well, even with the bumps, but I was sure I could do better (and the tires squeaking from the bumps in the pavement were a little annoying). I discovered these Serfas tires and…
