The entire edge of the bed from top to bottom is made of the same material. However, elastic corners are a bit of a problem. If my box spring didn't have plastic corners I'd be pretty sure the rubber bands would slip off due to the slick material. However, we were lucky and made it because the box spring bed has plastic corners. It looks very good.
