Review on πŸ”₯ 1200-Watt AmazonBasics Teflon Soleplate Steam Iron - Improved SEO by Dan Venegas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for sewing, suitable for ironing shirts.

I want to hate this iron but there are so many good things. Pros: Turns off after 8 minutes, but only when not in use. It beeps before shutting down. This is very helpful for those who sew as I can just go up and do a little ironing and it won't turn off. My last iron would turn itself off every 30 minutes and I had to plug it back in to restart. Has a lot of steam. Heavily crumpled linen flattened in seconds. The heating performance is good. Cons: Warming up takes forever. The red light goes out when it finally gets warm. It puts out a lot of vapor when you tilt it back up, especially on heavy vapor, so point it away from yourself or kids/pets and it's very noisy too. It's a little heavy, but that might be a good thing. I've only used it for a few hours so far, but I'm keeping it now. It's worth being able to reset the timer when sewing big projects.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Something's wrong
