Very bad product. It would be very warm, yes, too warm to touch safely, but not hot enough to iron really well. I had an old Sunbeam iron that my mom gave me 40 years ago. It was well formed, easy to handle, easy to manoeuvre, heated hot. It was great - for 40 years. Unfortunately, even good household appliances fail over time, and my Sunbeam iron finally did just that. I have yet to find a satisfactory replacement and believe me this iron will not be such a replacement.

I want to hate this iron but there are so many good things. Pros: Turns off after 8 minutes, but only when not in use. It beeps before shutting down.
