Review on Etna Pet Play Pen Large by Jennifer Christensen

This portable pet playpen is perfect for my needs. I bought the 36" size and it fits our 15 pound Pekingese dog easily, with plenty of room for all of his favorite things, plus a small bowl for food and water if needed. He likes to sleep in it every night and keeps his favorite toys and bones in it. If necessary, it can be easily moved from one room to another or folded up and transported to another location, for example to a hotel. I originally bought this as an aviary to keep for a 5 night stay at the hotel. It was the perfect solution for the hours I had to leave him alone at the hotel during our stay. It served that purpose very well and has since become his private room in our home. It is very easy to keep clean. If something is spilled, liquids do not seep through and are wiped up immediately. Dirt and grit are easy to remove and if they need cleaning, a damp cloth with soap and water works well. I gave 3 stars instead of 5 because of condition issues, not design or performance. I suspect it was stored in a damp place in the Revain warehouse before shipping because the paw print on the panels spilled over other parts of the white canvas panels. Instead of those nice white panels, each with a brown paw print that you see in the picture, each panel had smeared ink stains next to the paw prints, making them quite unsightly. I would have returned it if there had been enough time to get a replacement before I needed it for my hotel stay, but that wasn't the case. I have no complaints about the performance of the product, just wish mine looked as good as the picture. This is a word of caution: if your pet tends to jump up the sides of the enclosure while inside, this may not work for you if it's not secured. It's light enough for a violent pet to tip it onto its side. Our dog isn't a jumper so we didn't have a problem, but one day he fell down on her pretty hard when someone knocked on our hotel door and lifted the opposite side of the paddock off the ground a bit.
