We bought this for my almost 3 year old. We measured her head, but nowhere did it state how big her head should be. For reference, her head was 19.25 inches, so we should have gotten the size of an infant, not a toddler. Anyway, it was so big that it kept sliding back and forth even when I thought it was tight. He also pinched her under the chin, causing unnecessary tears. Okay, maybe it's my fault I ordered the wrong size. Moving on, I lifted the helmet a little later and the ENTIRE TENSIONER DISCONNECTED! Yes, only OFF! It attaches to the side with these super cheap Velcro straps. For real? I wanted to keep it until her head grew and try again, but no way. Safety first, that's why we wear helmets, right? Just stay away from this terrible product. (We ended up getting fun pasta and are very happy with the difference).
