Very good for steel and aluminum rivets! KEEP IN MIND! Extreme care must be taken when using this tool! The very first rivet I made for the pergola came loose immediately. If the rivet sags or the surface is uneven, or if you tilt the tool slightly, it will break the mandrel. Mandrels are made of hardened high carbon steel, making them very strong but brittle. The tool is much better than the one-handed style (typical rivet gun style). But I destroyed 2 of them with steel rivets. The force required to crimp steel rivets simply cannot be applied with a one-handed gun.
