Beautiful classic style mantel clock. Although the calls are electronic rather than physical, I'm very pleased with the realistic tone and deep voice for such a modestly sized speaker. My initial chime volume setting is about 30% of maximum, which seems on par with our old mechanical chime clocks. Setting up the new clock was easy, and the chime instantly synced to the given time. So far, timing accuracy seems to be at the top. I would expect a very long battery life. It uses one C cell for clocks and another C cell for chimes. I like the domed glass on the dial, the roman numerals on the dial and the style of the hands. The wooden furniture has a nice finish and the quality seems good despite being made in China. I hope that this watch will last for centuries and that I can pass it on to my children.
