based on it based on a lot of positive feedback, but I will return it and get something of better quality. Upon receipt I washed it with mild dish soap and took the set on a weekend hike. Looked well made, fairly compact and light weight so I was happy to use it. The very first thing I tried to cook in it was regular breakfast sausages and nothing came of it. Something in the composition of the pan reacted badly with the sausage and immediately created a sticky black film in the pan, which cannot be removed even after boiling the soapy solution in it and grating. Of course I had to toss those little piglets and cook more in my friend's pan, which worked well without a hint of a sticky death film, definitely not the sausage's fault. The same stove, the same sausage, the same spatula. If I can't even make sausage for breakfast without ruining both the food and the pan, what's the point? I can't say anything about the quality of the pieces it contained, as everything was immediately put back in the bag after the sausage fiasco. In the photo, this pan sits to the left of a 20 year old pan that was cooked to perfection and washed quickly. However, I'm sure boiling water will do, but the reaction to something I tried cooking in it doesn't give me much confidence about eating or drinking anything that touched those pots.
