I have a complex report to create at work and it takes an hour or two to get data from the servers. Unfortunately, if my computer crashes, the report doesn't end and I have to start over. I can't change the block settings so I need a way to prevent this. Usually during this time I am tied to my desk, not letting the computer crash and not being able to do other tasks that I need to do. This device works great and allows me to get up from my desk and do other things. I only used it once today but I was able to start the process and go to lunch. The report was ready when I got back and I didn't waste time sitting around and moving the mouse. I've looked around for other options, including mouse pads and the like, but I'm tired of introducing a device from an unknown manufacturer onto our network. . With this mouse engine there is no connection to the PC - it simply moves the existing mouse. It's not completely silent, it just makes a faint noise when spinning (which happens randomly). I didn't even notice the noise once I moved away from my desk. The only negative is that I find the price a bit high. However, this motor offers some features that I haven't seen on cheaper similar models. I like the lip that keeps the mouse from slipping and the notch at the end makes it easier to use a wired mouse. The wheel design also seems to work well to ensure the mouse detects movement. So far I am very happy with this purchase.
