Review on πŸ’ Natural Beet Root Powder with Vitamin B12, Top Nitric Oxide Booster, Black Cherry Beet Juice Powder Blend, 30 Servings per Container by Emily Mason

Tastes ok, could be better; sandy

Beetroot is a supposedly health-promoting superfood. I don't like beets so the powder suits me better as I can mix it into my drink. This powder contains not only beetroot, but also flavors. Some vitamins and minerals are listed on the label. I don't know if they are added to beets or if they occur naturally. Many beetroot powder supplements I've seen didn't provide additional nutritional information, which is problematic since beets contain adequate amounts of potassium and some people follow a low-potassium diet. Another thing to keep in mind when using beets is that they are also high in oxalates, which can aggravate the formation of calcium-based kidney stones. The taste of this powder is black cherry. It certainly has the right smell, but I wouldn't say the taste is particularly good. I just add it to other drinks to taste it. However, if I were to drink it straight, I would probably be disappointed in the taste. I would agree with other reviewers who said it was gritty. They may not have finely chopped the beets, but they don't completely dissolve, so I'm guessing there's a lot of really small beet bits left that sink to the bottom, making them hard to eat. And as someone said, the plastic label surrounding the container is completely slippery, making it difficult to get a firm grip on the bottle so you can remove the cap.
