Review on Dorman D35702 Brake Caliper Repair by Jimmy Bores

I read that several people noticed that the inside of the caliper was rusted and decided to replace the entire caliper instead of just rebuilding it. My calipers were both full of rust and contaminated fluid, but the actual running surface in the outer piston liner area was polished almost to a mirror finish. I cleaned the caliper body and thoroughly cleaned the seal and dust boot grooves. The bleed valves were very tight but they were removed and cleaned well. When these seals fit perfectly in the groove, they seal the piston evenly. As well as the boot that protects the internal parts of the caliper. Flush the hydraulic system completely with new fluid and these Dorman repair kits will last longer than Original Equipment.
