Benefits:* Forever. Serious. It says 1 year but my last took 2 and I'm turning down the last piece because I dropped it, broke it in half and half went down the drain. (Now there's no more sweat smell. Win-win!)* No aluminum or other nasty chemicals around the shell, which is delicate and needs to be handled.* Works well for reducing odors while performing normal daily tasks. Spring, fall, winter, and warm (not hot) summer days.* No antiperspirant, meaning it won't clog pores and cause armpit pimples or inflamed sweat glands.* Apply right after your shower with a drop of water and wipe madly under each arm and it's great! Cons: * Gives up when it hits 90 degrees or when it's active and you smell it. naturally. We don't want a natural scent, so we buy deodorant.* Doesn't really stop sweating, but does reduce odor. Ok for the above reasons, but sweat. Overall it's worth it and will remain my favorite. Two packs are expected to last around 5 years. Unlike the version I previously purchased, these crystals appear to be firmly attached to the bottoms of their containers. Be sure to shake off excess water and place on a waterproof surface as some product will still remain at the bottom of the applicator after normal use.
