I use it for my small electric chainsaw. While the wire isn't rated for heavy use, it's thicker than the wire on the chainsaw itself. (The thicker the gauge, the thinner the wire.) I like that it's orange so it's easier to see and doesn't trip . This extension should not be used with adapters as it consumes little power. Make sure any tools or gadgets you use are rated for light-duty tasks. Do not exceed the wattage or amperage specifications. If you need something more versatile I suggest 14 gauge instead.
