Review on 6ft CableCreation Active DP to HDMI Cable (DP1.2) - 4K x 2K & 3D Audio/Video, Eyefinity Multi-Screen Support, 1.8M, White by David Hill

Have a cable to connect the computer to the TV. I read in some reviews that sound is not transmitted via DisplayPort (DP). After plugging it in and running a few tests, the audio is great and the video quality at 1080p is excellent. Initially does not support resolutions above 1080p. for 2K, 4K, etc. Based on the reviews read, additional devices are needed. I tried this with a 4K TV and only got 1080p even though I set my computer to 2K. Overall very happy with the quality, durability (I've been using it for a few years) and also the price.
