Bought a couple of these to replace individual lightbulbs in a dark basement. They cover a range of models with 3, 4 and 5 sockets. Essentially, illuminance levels have increased from a single 100W incandescent bulb to the equivalents of 180W, 240W and 300W (using 60W LEDs). They are solidly built and can be converted to a 'flat' configuration so the bulbs are close to the ceiling instead of hanging down. I was under the impression that they should be installed and then left alone. While they're fairly sturdy, they don't seem designed to flex all the time, although they can be adjusted if you respect their movement limits rather than just tugging at them. I will buy more for another dark place.
