The elastic was so tight it turned a 7/8 shoe into a 5/6 shoe or maybe even smaller. Luckily it adjusts to size if you rip the elastic and these are now my kids' favorite slippers. In the photo I uploaded, the left slipper is only half stretched, and the right slipper has completely torn the elastic. Before stretching it was such a tiny/extremely tight shoe hole. Just try to stretch it near the heel area to avoid tearing the seams in the middle of the slippers, that's my advice.
