This is a very reliable AIO with great features. and a big tax on ROG. So I can say two things right away: 1. This thing works just as well as any other 240mm AIO with this pump and heatsink design. That means there's nothing particularly exciting about it and you get the performance you expect. Is it expensive. So too much. I would not recommend this to anyone trying to get the best bang for their buck. Point. Look, nobody reads these reviews here because they HATE ROG, but I can't in good conscience write a review and not mention that this AIO is overpriced for the features you get. At this price point, there are more competitive options with similar features. and there are much better options at significantly lower prices. For example, the EK-AIO 280 D-RGB is available now for $134.99. Yes, it's a much better cooler at a significantly lower price. Arctic's Liquid Freezer II 280 is $111.99! If you're only interested in performance per dollar, stop reading and buy something cheaper. So why do WE buy these ROG products? Well, AESTHETICS, dude. And boy does this cooler have one of the prettiest CPU blocks you can find. Seriously, look at this thing. It's smooth, shiny and a bit rough. I've never been a fan of the GAMER EXTREME aesthetic, but there's something nice and eye-catching about the ROG logo, and it shines effortlessly through most builds. .- Solid materials, although the wheel feels a bit "thin" - the AIO uses the same mounting system for the AM4 that I've seen on the NZXT AIO. AM4 mount on block, 4 screws on back as standard and 4 knurled nuts. Simple, quick installation without mess. - A soft whisper when the fans are running at a lower speed, a quiet, unobtrusive hum when the fans are picking up speed. - Keeps my 5900x under 70C under any gaming load in a 14.7L chassis (SSUPD Meshilcious) paired with an EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra. Armory Crate has come a LONG WAY in a short amount of time. I no longer mind using it and it has the features I need to customize my RGB. Is this the best part of the software? no It sucks you should use it? .err, these are ROG products from Asus. I'm not sure how anyone can expect NOT to use their software. So no? Cons: - Overpriced. I know these prices stay the same because people like me keep buying these things, but the ROG tax seems higher than ever. If you're not the type to care about aesthetics or don't find the style appealing, then walk away and don't buy this item. - The lighting of the fans is pretty bad. They lack LEDs, aren't bright enough, and the available effects are mediocre. - Fans feel cheap. So why did I buy this thing despite my price concerns? Well, aesthetics. I'm using a ROG B550I motherboard and I'm hoping to upgrade to a ROG RTX 3080Ti at some point. I like.
