Review on Corsair VOID Elite Surround Gaming Headset with 7.1 Surround Sound - Discord Certified - Compatible with PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch - Carbon by Luis Despain

I have been using this headset for about 10 days mainly for gaming, but also for WFH video conferences and listening to music while working. I tried them because I was looking for a USB port, cloth ear pads, and a boom mic that sticks out of my line of sight rather than a detachable wired mic. At first they were quite comfortable, although they sat a little. oddly thanks to the odd shape of the ear pads. In order for the cups to sit comfortably on my ears, I had to move the headband closer to the back of my head. No big deal, just different. However, after a few hours I noticed that my glasses were breaking on both the side of my head and the side of the bridge of my nose. No matter how I tried to adjust the headset and glasses, I couldn't find a comfortable position. I have been wearing headsets of various qualities for over 30 years, of which almost 20 years are part of my daily work (over 6 hours of daily wear); those were the first problems with my glasses. That was crucial for me. Other issues, admittedly minor but still influencing my decision to buy something else, were: - weak touch mic; I had to be very careful with it or I thought I would break it; and - weak bass response; I know I don't listen to 10" subwoofers, but the sound was disappointingly tinny. I could live with that if it wasn't for the problem with my glasses. The microphone picked up my voice and provided a clear transmission. It just seemed to me that if I looked the wrong way, the ending would break off. I have a couple of inexpensive headphones with vinyl ear pads that choke VERY quickly and have MUCH better bass. I prefer a richer sound than the Corsair. , despite the declared frequency range.
