I hate to put two stars on this cover because the material is well machined anodized aluminum but the rubber material on the inner seal was not designed to work with fuel come into contact. It's a soft, flexible rubber made in China that breaks when fuel hits it. Thus, the pad immediately dissolves (splits open) after a single use. You need to find or make the best gasket material to ensure a good seal. Also, the check valve/vent that comes out from the top is junk. It was rusted inside right out of the box. Locking ball and spring stuck inside. I dropped that and installed my own viton check valve with fuel hose, both rated for fuel economy.
