I bought the house for my granddaughter's second birthday about 8 months ago. Due to her savage rudeness and her two older brothers, the little house fell apart in less than a month. I bought this tent in January for my oldest grandson's 5th birthday and am very impressed. This tent is MUCH better than this cabin. My 5 year old grandson needs minimal help putting it together (he can't do the second end of the rib) and plastic poles are much better. So far it has withstood the rigors of a 5 year old, his almost 4 year old brother and little sister. My only complaint about this tent is its size. I'm sure if it were a little smaller it wouldn't work well outdoors, but kids love to play with it indoors and there just isn't room in my house to build it and walk through any room. Put it next to the bed and I'll climb over the bed to get in and out of her bedroom. In the living room I walk between the coffee table and the sofa. Even in their playroom, they have to crawl through the tent to get to the toy box. Please don't get me wrong, the size is also a bonus because all three kids can climb in at the same time to play or take a nap. My more complaint is that my house isn't big enough to fit a tent. It will be great when school is over and the kids want to spend more time outdoors. :D
