Very limited installation compatibility

My product review is more about window compatibility than product functionality. First off, I believe this product is designed for thick window frames with a 2" gap in a frame about 2" deep. The lack of a window grille is also a likely requirement for this product. It takes up most of the market. I was looking forward to it, but was disappointed. My window frames are patchy and 3/4 inch deep into the frame, as well as a window screen like all windows in my house. I also want to mount it vertically since my room's windows open from the sides. My suggestions to improve the product; 1) There are gaps at the bottom of the foam blocks. There are no gaps at the top, why at the bottom? fix it The bottom of the foam blocks should also be thinner. As long as they're pressed against the ends of the inner grooves of the window frame, thickness shouldn't matter much. 2) Glue a plastic sheet to the outside of the foam blocks with a feature that allows you to snap and attach other foam blocks. to each other, so that a vertical installation is more possible. 3) A redesign is needed considering window screens as most households have them and most consumers do not want to remove them. Window screen maintenance is also required to prevent insects such as spiders and flying insects from entering the exterior vents.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
