Washes much more thoroughly and with better results than the original Eureka filter which is almost twice the price (if you can actually find it locally!). It took me a while to work up the courage to try the "non-original" part, but I won't hesitate any longer. I bought two at a time and washed each one more often now that I have a spare. I just take it outside and hook up a garden hose to it and then let it dry in the sun all day. I have found that outdoor sunlight removes all odors very well, even pet hair and carpet dust. Then at the end of the day I put it inside and let it dry inside for a few more days just to make sure it really dries before using it again. **I had no issues with the fit as noted by several other reviewers; It fit snugly and had the same good seal as the original.
