I bought these to replace the glass bulbs that came with an old set of cafe lights. The power consumption is so low that I had to return an incandescent bulb to the kit for my dimmer to turn it off completely (Lutron Caseta with a minimum load of 25W). The old setup was 540 watts, now even with a single bulb the whole chain draws only 67 watts. This was important as I use them indoors and the heat generated by the old bulbs was significant.
