Review on Carefree 850001BLK Pioneer Awning End by Fred Meeks

When our tent broke down after a storm we replaced it. The final part of the setup was rewinding the spring. The end cap burst. Cheap white metal. After a careless call and waiting forever with no response and unsuccessfully trying to order a replacement on their website (not available) we decided to give it a try. The black version was 1/4 the price of the white, so we decided it was going to be a flop. But they fit and work great. Spring is no longer needed. We had to pay an extra $28 for the metal handle, we're still down to $170. In short, go for the black ones, they work great!
