Repairing a broken awning spring. Safer too!

5 Star. A spring broke on my 15ft RV awning. I had to rotate manually. Total PITA. I replaced one side with this one and now it slides in and out easily. This device also makes the awning safer to drive as it is a worm gear. Unroll the Google RV awning and see what can happen. Lots of people make spring awning locks and other stuff, but with this one you don't have to worry about that.

Just what we needed

When our tent broke down after a storm we replaced it. The final part of the setup was rewinding the spring. The end cap burst. Cheap white metal. After a careless call and waiting forever with no response and unsuccessfully trying to order a replacement on their website (not available) we decided to give it a try. The black version was 1/4 the price of the white, so we decided it was going to be a flop. But they fit and work great. Spring is no longer needed. We had to pay an extra $28 for the

Perfect for Canopies

I have a 1995 Carefree tarpaulin, the front arm was replaced with standard stock a few years ago so god knows what year it was from as 95 parts hard to find are, especially in an emergency. The front end cap (the one that locks or unlocks the awning) recently broke. I couldn't find an end cap for a 1995 model so I tried this one that says it's 1997 and newer. It fitted perfectly except for the small screw holes that didn't line up, but with the self tapping screws it fitted properly. You remove
