Review on BONECO W200 Air Washer: Humidifier and Purifier for Improved Air Quality by Kenji Viray Tsuchida ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product for me, I was satisfied with the price.

It was purchased by me in November of 2022. Because I had bonuses, the total cost of the purchase was approximately 9500. Even at that low of a price, it seems to me like the product is overpriced due to the simplistic nature of the design. After a couple of weeks of using the device on a daily basis, clicks started occurring while it was being operated. The sound became more annoying as it continued. Because the component is as straightforward as a hammer handle, I made the decision to silence this noise on my own rather than bringing it to the opposite end of the city to be serviced. It was discovered that these clicks are produced by a gearbox that is assisting a diminutive electric motor in rotating a relatively large drum that contains a hydrating sponge. In general, this entire system reminds me of the constructor I had in elementary school that had an electric motor (once again I was convinced that the price was unjustified). Even though I did not take apart the gearbox housing, I was still able to see plastic gears inside of it by looking through a small window. When I got to that point, all I did was push graphite grease and put everything back together. At this point, the only sound that can be heard is the rustling of the fan. On the other hand, because this sound keeps my wife from falling asleep, the device is turned off at night. It is possible to deduce that the air is still being cleaned because, after each batch of water has been used up, there is a yellow liquid (dirt dissolved in water) that is left at the bottom of the container. Every time, I give the tray a quick rinse, and I give the sponge a quick shower. This can be accomplished very quickly. And if this is not done, then the apartment will quickly start to smell like a rotting rag if nothing is done about it. Conclusions. This "air wash" will not have any cosmic effect, so there is no need to expect it to. It will in no way eliminate the requirement that you perform wet cleaning in the home, and it won't even cut down on the number of times that you'll need to do so. You won't be able to tell the difference between having the device and not having it if you dry your clothes on a balcony on the sunny side and have two cats that shed on the balcony at the same time. However, when the heating season arrives at home, it actually becomes a little bit easier to breathe. Buy or not - depends on the purpose of the acquisition. To thoroughly clean the air, the answer is NO. The formation of a white coating on furniture and perspiration due to excessive humidity can be avoided if the air is naturally humidified, so the answer is "yes." You decide. If I were you, I wouldn't buy something at full price.

Pros
  • Laconic design. Ease of repair and upkeep. Reliability. There are no spare filters available.
Cons
  • Noises that aren't necessary in the workplace. The cost is significantly higher than it should be.
