I've been struggling with strong underarm odor since puberty. As a kid I thought I needed stronger and stronger deodorants because nothing seemed to work. Although it promises "clinical strength". My mom suggested a natural deodorant and I thought she was crazy. I've used crystal salt deodorant for a while, but it was chafing my armpits. If you've never used a natural deodorant before, read this: Your armpits MUST BE PROTECTED from the chemicals found in antiperspirant deodorants. The next part may not apply to everyone, but most people will smell absolutely awful for the 3-7 (on average) days it takes to detox your armpits. Please understand that this doesn't mean you can't use natural deodorant or that it won't work. If it's really bad, try activated charcoal and honey paste and a detox armpit mask. Just mix it into a paste, leave it on for at least 20 minutes, but longer if you can, that should help speed up the process. I've been using Crystal Crystal Roll On Deodorant for a number of years. I still have issues with the smell when I exercise or I sweat a lot, sweat from stress and a few other things, but for the most part everything is fine. This deodorant? I haven't smelled the whole 48 hours. Nothing else made me smell clean for so long. The lavender scent only lasts about 12 hours, but once the scent wore off I couldn't detect any bad smell. Lavender deodorant smells of pure lavender. I don't smell sage. Every time I raise my hands I get a wave of lavender for hours. The deodorant itself resembles granular coconut oil. As the name suggests, I thought it was rock salt deodorant, but it's not. It is a creamy base based on coconut oil. You have to be very careful not to apply too much or you will feel your armpit skin sliding over the oil stain. I overdid it the first time and literally had to erase most of it. Now I usually blot it up instead of swiping over it because it just deposits too much product. The deodorant works really well, just a weird feeling. I had no problem getting my clothes dirty or leaving stains. I put it on my sports bra today and was able to wipe it off with a bath towel in seconds.
