Media could not be loaded. Summary: The base of the retaining clip in these RJ45s is too small (3mm) and they will be damaged if an RJ45 crimp tool is used. After that, these ends are not fixed in the Ethernet port. Basically, the base of the mounting clips is too small (3mm) compared to other brands (4mm). The RJ45 crimping tools must apply pressure to both sides of the RJ45 ends to force the connectors through the cable's plastic housing. Because the clamp foot is too small, the crimping tool presses on part of the clamp, bending it and constantly loosening it. By pressing the clamp, you can feel the difference before and after using the tool. I even tried bending the clips back into place, but the plastic was already loose and after a few tugs, the ends came loose from the ethernet connector. On the other hand, these ends are not out of specification. The specifications for the RJ45 ends do not specify the size of the bracket feet, but these ends are still useless. Note that it took me hours to figure out what was wrong with those ends. They look like all the other ends (different brands) I have. I had to use a large magnifying glass and caliper to compare them. The only difference was the size of the base of the locking clip, only 1mm.
