worked without problems for solid copper 23awg cat6. All I wanted in the cable ends: - wasn't a cumbersome two piece system where you route the wires inwards (which actually makes it harder) - the wires didn't go all the way through the front so you have extra wire to cut and expose - it had a hefty tab that attaches to the Cable box clamped and held everything in place

Pros
  • . So far
Cons
  • suits me, I don't remember but something was

Do not buy as they are too far off spec!

So I spent this morning installing an ethernet cable in my house and found these connectors to be way out of spec. So it's not to spec that they don't snap and you can't insert them all the way into the ethernet port for a small portion of the cable to pop out for crimping and cutting. I've tried this with multiple items as well as my tester (like the back of two different routers) and both had the same issue. I ended up having to go to Home Depot to buy more RJ45 connectors to get the jobโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • boring packaging

Ooooh, that's way out of spec.

This morning I installed an ethernet cable in my house so we could have wired access to different rooms (our builders just put RJ11 plugs in there). When I was done I tried to test everything with my network tester but found these RJ45s were too long (I guess). They don't stay in place. You can plug them into the ethernet port, but they'll never click into place, so pull a little and they'll just pop out. I've tried this with multiple items as well as my tester (like the back of two differentโ€ฆ

Everything about them is perfect except

This review is for solid ends, not hoods. Everything about them is perfect except they don't snap into the ports. Trust other reviewers. I thought maybe other buyers are just doing something wrong. I have experience terminating my own cables and knew I would get better results. I was wrong and now I regret this purchase. After connecting a few ends I had trouble keeping them securely in different ports on different devices. Getting them cost me more time and money. I bought the Ideal brandedโ€ฆ

  • Definitely a bad product

Lines MAY snap.

They cost about 1/4 of what the IDEAL brand costs at Lowe's. That tempted me enough to place an order. A package of 100 pieces arrived yesterday. Immediately I had to make a cable for home theater. After reading many reviews on this product I was wondering if the cables (24G) would fit the plug - they did. Not much trickier to install than the IDEAL connectors I was familiar with. Next, the wires go where they're supposed to... They went. I'm new to this RJ-45 connector and once the wires seemโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good

Media could not be loaded. Summary: The base of the retaining clip in these RJ45s is too small (3mm) and they will be damaged if an RJ45 crimp tool is used. After that, these ends are not fixed in the Ethernet port. Basically, the base of the mounting clips is too small (3mm) compared to other brands (4mm). The RJ45 crimping tools must apply pressure to both sides of the RJ45 ends to force the connectors through the cable's plastic housing. Because the clamp foot is too small, the crimping tool

Pros
  • Sleek and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Power User --- I don't have any jacks to work with yet

IT Specialist who has made hundreds of Ethernet cables over 15 years. I can usually put the plugs in correctly the first time. Every now and then I get fooled and have to repeat one. But I make these RJ45 ends pretty quickly and accurately. When I first started using these CableCreation RJ45 connectors, my first cable failed. I slowly and carefully replaced the ends one by one and it still didn't work. I took out the ethernet tester and found that only one pair of wires was lit! Not only thatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very Expensive
