WARNING: This yo-yo is made of metal, not wood. The wood has better grip on the string to prevent loss of responsiveness. In addition, wood is usually of higher quality and lighter. Responsiveness - The yo-yo's ability to roll back to the rope and the flexible hand of the user. Higher responsiveness allows for less time to spin, but easier for experienced players and tricks. This yo-yo is less responsive than the dollar store yo-yo. I personally like traditional yo-yos, I was disappointed but also expected what I got. I wish I could buy a wooden yo-yo or at least a plastic one. :/
