Works great. The Gigabyte AORUS RAID card is well built and much better designed than other similar competing offerings from MSI and ASUS. The fan is very quiet, almost inaudible. There are also drive activity LEDs on the back of the PCI bracket, which is very useful. In addition, thermal pads are factory-installed on the top and bottom of the M.2 connectors. Be sure to remove the plastic protective layer. I am using it with two (2) NVME M.2 Gen3 SSDs in a 16x PCIe Gen3 slot on my motherboard running in fanned x8 mode (aka 4x4 mode) in RAID_0. for maximum speed. I mainly use this for my PC gaming and Windows OS. I know this is probably an exaggeration, but my single player games never show a loading screen and I usually load various online games first. I only have one complaint: Gigabyte Raid Manager only works on Gigabyte motherboards. This means I have to use a third party application to view disk stats and timing. This is an advanced device and requires knowledge of RAID and BIOS. If this is your first time building, I would advise you to avoid this product. If you are an advanced user, be sure to check your motherboard compatibility and read the product manual for proper installation. And yes, it's a reference to spaceballs.
