Great for reading. I ordered it for my daughter (7 years old). Unfortunately the onion section came loose from the neck of the clip but we were able to put it back together. She just has to be careful how she uses it. I have one, just a different design, and have had no problems using it or breaking it or falling apart. However, the type of batteries used is not easy to find. I don't know if this is the area I live in but this place either doesn't sell it or it's sold out. What to look out for when making a purchase decision.
