Concept works GREAT - there is not much of this product. I had a gallon sized marinade jar that would never be unscrewed. I tried tapping it. I tried heating lead metal in boiling water. I tried the rubber pad for better grip. Nothing worked. So I bought Jackie. The frying didn't catch the bottom of the lid. There wasn't enough space between the lid and the glass edge around the bottom of the lid to get in. But I was able to stick a regular flathead screwdriver (Thomas) in, and the slightest twist of the screwdriver was able to loosen the vacuum seal. The lid then came off easily.
