I hope it softens a bit with age.
I had the same almond oven although it is 19 years old. We renovated the kitchen and decided to make it out of stainless steel. I was expecting the same performance as the old one, but unfortunately each setting seems about four notches up. So, low power is very similar to medium power, and the only low power is the "1" setting. So if you do something that requires low temperature, you'd better be careful or you'll burn it. I hope it softens a bit with age.
