Do not buy this item!Bought this and used it mostly successfully until 12/20/17..I called 800, explained the problem and they told me the box would be shipped next week ( because of holidays) and I was able to send it in for warranty repairs, which I did and after 3-4 weeks I returned the car. I don't know what they did with it but I have yet to successfully make a coffee/espresso. I also reported that my espresso machine no longer makes espresso. I have turned it off and on several times as per my rep Alban's suggestion but to no avail. In fact, the drawer keeps clogging (new problem, it's never got stuck) and now the coffee pucks can't pass easily or at all, the grinder only grinds a fraction of the amount of beans it was supposed to give for the drink, hence it comes a lot weak and watery. The machine can't do anything. Now, in the middle of a cycle, I'm getting error messages about POWERING OFF, waiting for AUTO SERVICE, RESETTING THE COFFEE EQUIPMENT (even though it was never taken out) and an INCOMPLETELY sharpened disc that's wet spilling all over the counter. I called KRUPS again to explain that my car was damaged and they apologized. Unfortunately, you will have to send it back to the service center again. There is nothing you can do if the car is beyond repair. Considering the money spent, I will never buy a KRUPS product again.
