My daughter is 85% tall and 45% heavy making her quite tall and thin. I've always ordered this brand a size up because it's very thin and I'm afraid it will shrink in the wash. However, I ordered a size up and it fit exactly as I expected, meaning it was a bit big. The fabric is a bit thin so I wouldn't recommend wearing it without a tank top unless it goes under a sweater. We live in Texas and try not to layer up most of the year, but this shirt is so light and airy it can be worn under school sweaters and this mom won't have to worry about heat stroke and rashes! The only problem is that this fabric needs to be washed on a gentle cycle and ironed after each wash. I am very satisfied with this top and will order another one in white.
