Review on Enhance Your Bike Experience with Planet Bike Protegé Bike Computer Bracket & Hardware Set by Tim Surridge

Ideal for using 1 Protege bike computer between 2 bikes

I have a Motobecane road bike that I bought a Planet Bike Protege 8.0 bike computer for. A computer is all I've ever wanted as it has all the data I need on one screen without the need for little buttons on the side. What struck me about Protege 8.0 is that it has 2 modes denoted by small bus icons in the top left corner of the screen. Badge #1 is a knobby tire and badge #2 is a smooth tread tire. You can calibrate for the wheel size of mountain bikes and road bikes respectively. They can be toggled by pressing the button on the back of the device when it is removed from the handlebar mount and moved from bike to bike. I have a Cannondale mountain bike that I've been considering getting a bike computer for. Record mileage, time and average speed on the routes. I've been searching the web for a PCless Planet Bike Protege mounting kit so I can use the same PC between my road bike and mountain bike. Of course, Revain had exactly what I needed. The Planet "Bike Standard Bracket" is actually a complete mounting kit for the Protege bike computer. It includes everything you get when you buy a Protege bike computer, except the computer itself. Intuitively very easy to install. If you are interested in procedures and need installation instructions, you must use the one that came with the original Protege bike computer. This bracket kit doesn't come with installation instructions, but again, it's pretty obvious what the parts are for and how they're used.
