Review on ๐Ÿฉบ ADC Prosphyg 760: Portable Navy Aneroid Sphygmomanometer Kit with Nylon Blood Pressure Cuff for Adults by Jeff Johnson

I'm not a nurse or a doctor! How about some help here?!

I just got this today. Product might be fine but directions are terrible. 1) I should have been told I needed to purchase a stethoscope, 2) 'place over the brachial artery' but no diagram where that is, 3) 'place above the antecubital fold' but no diagram where that is, 4) 'close value by turning thumbscrew' but no diagram where thumbscrew is, 5) 'palpate the radial artery' - what? and where is radial artery?, 6) 'inflate cuff 20-30 mmHg above point at which radial pulse disappears' - I have no idea what this means, 7) 'place the chestpiece' - no diagram of chestpiece, 8) 'distal to the brachium - oh really? 8) 'record Korotkoff sounds as systolic .' oh I give upI could go on but I have thrown this thing onto the floor. What in heavens do you expect me do with this? You might as well be telling me in greek. Do you really think everyone buying this is a nurse or doctor? I have no idea how to even begin but, without a stethoscope, I can't anyway. MAJOR BUMMED.

Pros
  • happy CUSTOMER
Cons
  • Harder to read than digital blood pressure monitors
